The Symphony Angel (シンフォニー・エンジェル, Shinfonī Enjeru) is an Angel-class liner, belonging to the Frigard Line [1][2], which the Bentenmaru performed a raid on. During the raid, Gruier Serenity, who was aboard the liner, stowed away aboard the pirate ship, setting off the events leading to the Bentenmaru's search for the Golden Ghost Ship.

Design[]

Exterior[]

The liner has a streamlined shape with the hull expanding out sideways towards the rear of the ship. Moving from the bow towards the stern, the elevation and the number of decks on the upper hull increase, until just before a sail/fin and the rear arch.

There is an arch under the ship, just behind the bow with a small swept wing attached to port and starboard sides and a fin underneath. A protrusion is present on the underside of the central hull. Either side of the ship on the upper, central hull, are grooves leading to a cone.

There is a large arch that crosses over the stern from the rear wings. Just before this, behind the top deck is a sail/fin. There is a small forward-swept wing on the ends of the large wings at the rear of the ship. At the stern is a cylindrical engine with a glowing ring at its end.

Colour Scheme[]

The Symphony Angel's hull is mostly white with a dark brown band around the lower hull [1].

History[]

Golden Ghost Ship Arc[]

The Bentenmaru was hired to perform a raid on the Symphony Angel as it was travelling with three Corback escorts (assigned to protect Princess Gruier Serenity who was onboard), with the pirate ship engaging in a mock battle with the Corbacks. At the end of the battle, the Symphony Angel surrendered shortly before its escorts. The Bentenmaru then proceeded to dock with the liner and sent a boarding party over to raid the ship. However while they were doing so, Gruier Serenity sneaked aboard the Bentenmaru, using the ID ring she had been given by Gonzaemon to override the security systems. The crew didn't realise they had a stowaway until after they had undocked and left the Symphony Angel [1].
