The Name (日本人, Rōmaji) of the ship begins the sentence following the Ship Infobox Template. One or two reasonably short sentences then briefly describe the ship in question is before the individual sections, which go into more detail, begin.

Design[]

This section describes the ship's design. If the design differs between mediums, the different designs are placed under relevant sub-headings. The description is divided under sub-headings for the ship's Exterior, Interior and Colour Scheme, and sub-divided further if necessary.

Light Novel[]

The ship's design in the light novels is placed here.

Anime[]

The ship's design in the anime is placed here.

Exterior[]

The design of the ship's exterior is placed here.

Interior[]

The design of the ship's interior is placed here.

Colour Scheme[]

The colour scheme of the ship and the design of it's emblem is placed here.

Technology & Combat Characteristics[]

This section describes the technology and combat characteristics of the ship. If the ship lacks combat characteristics, the section is titled Technology instead.

History[]

This section details the ship's history, starting with its background. Anything within the story is placed under the sub-headings for the relevant story Arcs.

Arc (Arc Status)[]

These sections contain the part of the ship's history taking place in the arc in question. The heading consists of the arc name, plus the arc status in brackets if it only takes place in certain mediums (e.g. Anime-Only). These sub-sections are generally listed in chronological order relative to the progression of the story. If the story diverges between different mediums, the Anime-Only Arcs are placed first, followed by the Novel-Only Arcs.

If there is any information concerning events occuring post-story, they are placed in the last section, unless there is section with information concerning certain non-canon events (e.g. audio dramas or video games), in which case the post-story information will come immediately in front of it. Any sections regarding non-canon events must always come last.

Crew[]

A bullet point list of the ship's crew is listed here. This list is divided under sub-headings if necessary (e.g. Former Crew, Bridge Crew, Temporary Crew, Other etc).

Uniform[]

If the ship has a uniform worn by its crewman, information about it is placed in this section.

Trivia[]

If there are any notable pieces of trivia concerning the ship, there are placed in this section as a bullet point list:

References[]

Under the references section, the Reflist template is placed first, producing a list of the references within the article (e.g. [1]):

This is followed by the Stub template if the article is a stub and then any navigation boxes relevant to the ship in question.
